Position Overview

We are looking for a warm, energetic, and hospitality-driven AM Dining Room Host to help create an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

This position is much more than maintaining the dining room. The AM Dining Room Host is a visible ambassador of Chick-fil-A hospitality and is responsible for making sure guests feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated throughout their entire visit.

The ideal candidate naturally enjoys interacting with people, notices the little details, takes initiative without being asked, and understands that a clean and inviting restaurant is an important part of excellent hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Hospitality & Service

  • Warmly greet guests as they enter the restaurant and make them feel genuinely welcome.
  • Engage with guests throughout the dining room in a friendly, professional, and appropriate manner.
  • Check on guests during their meals and look for opportunities to provide additional service.
  • Assist guests with drink refills, condiments, napkins, utensils, trays, highchairs, or other needs.
  • Help elderly guests, families with young children, and guests who may need additional assistance.
  • Clear trays and trash when appropriate so guests can comfortably enjoy their visit.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to visit us again.
  • Handle guest questions or concerns with professionalism and quickly involve a leader when additional assistance is needed.
  • Look for opportunities to create memorable experiences and go above and beyond standard service expectations.

Dining Room Care

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room throughout the entire shift.
  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, booths, highchairs, and other guest areas promptly between guests.
  • Sweep and spot-clean floors regularly and address spills immediately.
  • Keep condiment stations, beverage areas, trash areas, and other guest-facing spaces clean and fully stocked.
  • Empty trash as needed and ensure trash receptacles remain clean and presentable.
  • Monitor the overall appearance of the dining room and take ownership of anything that needs attention.
  • Ensure doors, windows, entry areas, and other highly visible spaces remain clean and inviting.

Restroom Maintenance

  • Check guest restrooms frequently throughout the shift.
  • Clean and sanitize sinks, counters, mirrors, toilets, floors, and other restroom surfaces.
  • Restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other necessary supplies.
  • Empty trash and maintain a fresh, clean, and professional appearance.
  • Immediately address any restroom concerns or notify leadership when additional attention or maintenance is required.
  • Complete restroom checks consistently without allowing guest hospitality in the dining room to be overlooked.

What We Are Looking For

The right candidate will be someone who:

  • Is 18 years of age or older.
  • Is available for a consistent full-time morning/daytime schedule.
  • Has previous hospitality, restaurant, customer service, or guest-facing experience.
  • Has a genuine passion for serving and taking care of people.
  • Is outgoing, approachable, friendly, and comfortable initiating conversations with guests.
  • Takes pride in cleanliness and pays close attention to details.
  • Can recognize what needs to be done and take action without waiting to be directed.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude, even during busy periods.
  • Is dependable, punctual, and able to work successfully as part of a team.
  • Can balance guest interaction with maintaining a consistently clean dining room and restroom environment.
  • Understands that hospitality is the priority and every interaction contributes to the guest's overall experience.

What Success Looks Like

A successful AM Dining Room Host creates an environment where guests walk into a clean, welcoming restaurant and immediately feel cared for. Tables are clean, restrooms are maintained, supplies are stocked, and—most importantly our guests receive genuine personal attention.

This role is ideal for someone who loves people, takes pride in creating a beautiful and welcoming environment, and wants to make a positive impact on each guest's day.

Our goal is simple: every guest should leave feeling that they were genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for.
